Located on the northwest banks of the Tonle Sap Lake, about two hours from Siem Reap, Prek Toal is home to thousands of migratory birds coming here every year at the dry season to nest.
Species include the Greater and Lesser Adjuncts, Black-headed Ibis, Painted Stork, Milky Stork, Spot-billed Pelican,Grey-Headed Fish Eagle and many more.

From the floating village of Chong Kneas, it’s a one-hour boat ride to the environment office (US$55 return per person) then transfer into the park’s smaller boat for the trip to the birds sanctuary (Entrance fee: US$35 per person, including a park guide).
